“GIOTTO” is the user-friendly Graphics User Interface (GUI) supplied with High Speed Meter (HSM-1000) specifically developed:

to acquire data of laser pulse trains measured by any High Speed Sensor of Blink HS family;

to display on a PC and perform statistics on many laser parameters such as energy, power, repetition rate, peak energy.

The Blink HS sensor is connected to the High Speed Meter HSM-1000 with a microwave cable (provided with HSM-1000 Meter) and HSM-1000 Meter is then connected to the PC with an Ethernet cable.

GIOTTO allows to perform automatic setup of all measurement setting to make the acquisition easy to be performed by the user.

HSM-1000 Meter can work according to 3 different modes using GIOTTO interface:

the “Oscilloscope” mode allowing to display on the PC the acquired laser pulse train

the “Real Time Parameters” mode allowing to display on the PC the averaged value over 1ms of many different parameters calculated from the acquired laser pulse train such as energy of each pulse, power, repetition rate and peak power

the “Pulses Parameters” mode allowing to display on the PC, energy, peak power of each pulse over the 32766 acquired pulses. Power and repetition rate of the pulse train are then calculated as average value over the 32766.

For “Pulses Parameter” modes, GIOTTO allows the user to define upper and lower thresholds for any of the 4 parameters (pulse energy, peak energy, repetition rate, power) showing when the measured value is out of the user defined range.

Graphical zooming of the acquired data over the 3 modes can be performed using a zoom window defined by the user or an automatic zoom.
